Rain Delay Doesn’t Hold Back Farm Progress Crowds

Heavy storms that dumped four inches of rain and raked the Farm Progress Show site in Boone, Iowa with strong winds delayed the opening of the show by two hours this morning, but the crowds poured onto the grounds when the gates opened. The permanent show site absorbed the rain well. Farm Progress National Events Manager Matt Jungmann gave details at the start of today’s show.

Case-IH at Farm Progress

As always, the red tractors of Case-IH are featured in a big, interactive display at the 2010 Farm Progress Show. We heard from the Case-IH experts how customers are driving design of the new tractors, about how new technology is being used to provide cleaner emissions, and about the new generation of Steiger tractors.

A Rainy Start for Large Crowds at Farm Progress

Early rains greeted a huge crowd to the first day of the 2010 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa. Fortunately the clouds gave way to partly sunny skies by mid-morning. We talked with National Events Manager for Farm Progress Matt Jungmann about how the weather would affect the show and the field demos. We also got a closer look at the forecast for the rest of the week with DTN Meteorologist Bryce Anderson.
